About the Artist
Amanda Loverseed, a skilled illustrator and artist, honed her craft at Cambridge College of Arts and Technology. Quickly gaining recognition, her first children’s books were accepted just two weeks after graduation. With published works by prestigious entities like Walker Books and Harper Collins, Amanda has established herself as a professional illustrator with diverse clients, including The Royal Collection and Marks and Spencer. Since 1999, she has been a consistent contributor to ‘Phoenix Trading/Flamingo Paperie,’ producing over 400 unique products. Amanda’s intricate ‘Cut Thru’ illustrations, often transformed into cross-stitch patterns, showcase her love for detailed work. Based in the picturesque Sussex Downs, Amanda draws inspiration from her surroundings, working mainly with a dip pen, ink, and watercolour. She welcomes commissions, including private projects, and her whimsical signature touch involves ‘hidden’ snails in many of her illustrations.
